5:44 PM, Monday, October 26. Most of the city is stuck in traffic. In the Hoodz Radio booth, the Daily Traffic Mix is rolling — and for once, we brought the camera around to the other side of the boards.

Where Drive-Time Gets Built

What you hear between 5 and 7 PM ET doesn’t come out of a playlist. It comes out of a room. Two turntables flanking a battle mixer, a mic on a boom arm, monitors lit up and a camera angle on every corner. That’s the Daily Traffic Mix — weekdays, live, hosted and mixed by Kay Bond.

Every Angle, Live

The screen you see in the clip is our multi-cam switcher, running five scenes across the decks, the host chair and the full room. It’s how the show moves from radio to video without losing the feel of a live set. Same booth, same energy, now you can watch it too.

Two Hours, Two Missions

The Daily Traffic Mix runs two named hours. The Come Up goes back to the golden era — the records that built the foundation. The Movement hands the mic to the independent artists building what’s next. Along the way you’ll catch the Legacy Cut and the Next Gen Spotlight, every single show.

That’s the whole idea in one block of radio: respect where it came from, push where it’s going.
