This Year’s Honoree: Amanda Booth

Amanda Booth, known for her groundbreaking work in inclusive media, is the recipient of this year’s honor. After the birth of her son, Micah, who has Down Syndrome and Autism, Amanda became a global advocate for inclusion in the media.

  • Accomplishments:
    • First person with Down Syndrome featured on the cover of Vogue with her son.
    • Contributor to Harper’s Bazaar.
    • Recipient of the Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy Award (2019).
    • Producer of inclusive projects that spotlight actors with intellectual disabilities, including works featured at festivals like SXSW.

The Mission of The Jonathan Foundation

The Jonathan Foundation is dedicated to helping children with Autism, learning disabilities, and emotional challenges by connecting families with advocacy resources and support services.

Founded by Raja Marhaba, the organization has made a profound impact through programs like the Assessment Scholarship Program, which funds essential assessments for children in need. Proceeds from the Spring Fundraiser directly support these initiatives.


About the Founder

Raja Marhaba, a 2019 L’Oréal Paris Women of Worth Honoree, created The Jonathan Foundation after her sons, Jonathan and Omar, were diagnosed with learning disabilities. Today, both serve on the Board and connect deeply with the children and families the foundation supports.
